The existing Wiesenalmbahn (8-seater monocable gondola), now called the Karspitzbahn I, is being extended by way of a second section toward the Karspitz summit, thus replacing the Sportbahn lift which has seen better days. The Karspitzbahn I and II will cover an impressive distance of 4.2 km - in just 12 minutes, carrying passengers up 1,540 metres of altitude into the heart of the ski area at an elevation of 2,116 m.
